While temps may be dropping all over the country, the weather is still absolutely beautiful on the Florida panhandle. In fact, fall is the perfect time to visit Destin, Miramar Beach, or 30A. There's a nice cool breeze, but the weather is still warm enough for all your favorite outdoor activities. Here are just a few of the many outdoor activities to try while you're visiting Miramar Beach.
1. Dolphin Cruises

Take a cruise around the Gulf of Mexico and Choctawhatchee Bay to see more dolphins than you've ever seen in your life. The waters here are full of marine life. From dolphins to manatees, you can find them here on the Emerald Coast. Additionally, dolphin cruises are fun for all ages, so this is a great family activity.
2. Scuba Diving and Snorkeling

Another great outdoor activity to try in Miramar Beach is snorkeling. In fact, there's even an artificial coral reef right by Pompano Joe's in Miramar Beach. According to Old 98 Destin, "these reefs contain snapper pyramids and grouper boxes that attract more than just fish." If you love scuba diving and snorkeling, there are tons of local companies that can take you on your dream excursion.
3. Charter Fishing

Destin isn't called "The World's Luckiest Fishing Village" for nothing. While you're staying in Miramar Beach, take advantage of the numerous charter fishing options. Additionally, since to Destin Fishing Rodeo is all October long, it's the perfect time to go on a fishing trip. You can even participate in the free weigh-ins at AJ's on the Destin Harbor.
4. Baytowne Adventure Zone

Baytowne Adventure Zone is South Walton's exclusive adventure zone. Located right in the Village of Baytowne Wharf, it's the perfect activity for kids to enjoy while you get some shopping in at the boutiques. With bungee jumping, a zip line, ropes course, and climbing wall, there are plenty of fun activities for kids of all ages.
5. Sand Castle Lessons

Whether you're in town for a family vacation, romantic getaway, or corporate retreat, you can't go wrong with building some good old fashioned sand castles in our snowy white sand. Additionally, you can even take sand castle lessons when you visit the Emerald Coast. It's the perfect way to spend a fall afternoon and makes a great team-building activity.
6. Fudpucker's Gator Beach

Located in Destin, Gator Beach is known as "the world's greatest alligator park." If you're looking for a fun family-friendly activity everyone will enjoy, Gator Beach should be on your bucket list. Gator Beach at Fudpucker's in Destin is home to over one hundred alligators and visitors can get up close and personal with them. From alligator shows to the gator museum, this place is pretty cool. There's even a baby alligator exhibit and visitors can actually have the chance to hold a real, live, baby gator!
7. Paddleboarding

Miramar Beach is famous for their beautiful rolling golf courses. There are so many different places to golf around here, so you'll have no problem finding the perfect place to pass an afternoon. Additionally, the slightly cooler weather ensures for perfect golfing conditions throughout the fall.
