The sun is shining, the water is sparkling, and it's spring break season in Destin, Florida. If you're about to visit Destin for spring break, here are a few things you need to pack to ensure that you have a vacation you'll never forget!
1. Sunglasses
Unlike other parts of the United States this time of year, Destin is super sunny and beautiful this time of year. Spring is already in full swing here, so you don't want to forget your sunglasses on spring break.
2. Swimsuit
It's already swimsuit season in Destin. No matter what temperature it is, once spring break rolls around, every visitor is out on the beach in their swimsuit... yes, it might only be sixty degrees some afternoons, but that's no reason to miss out on a beach day!
3. Shorts and Tank Tops
Put away your sweaters and pack those shorts and tank tops. You're headed to Florida after all! Temperatures can get into the seventies over spring break season, so it's the perfect time to break out your favorite pair of shorts you haven't worn since August.
4. Gatorade
Long days on the beach could leave you dehydrated. It's important to bring electrolytes along with you.
5. Beach Towels
Whether you're laying out and getting your tan on or simply drying off after taking a dip in the pool, a beach towel is an absolute must!
6. Sunscreen
The sun is no joke in the sunshine state. You can still get sunburned when it's a little chilly out, so you always need to apply SPF here! While everyone wants a spring break tan, you definitely don't want to spend your spring break nursing a sunburn.
7. Fanny Pack
If you're planning on spending the entire afternoon at the beach, packing a fanny pack is a great way to stay organized. You can put everything you need in there like your sunscreen, keys, wallet, and phone!
8. Wallet
There are so many amazing restaurants and places to shop in Destin, so you'll definitely want to bring a little extra spending money on your vacation.
9. Flip-Flops
Trade your snow boots for your flip-flops! The only white stuff on the ground here is our sugar white sand!
10. Light Jacket
While it is spring break, you still might want to bring a light jacket because it can get a little chilly around here when the sun goes down.
11. Good Beach Read
Break out your Nicholas Sparks novels, ladies!
12. Surf Board/Paddle Board
While the water is still a little chilly this time of year, it's not too cold to take your board out if you're feeling adventurous!
13. Camera
